Special Facebook Fields

All fields here are optional and do not need to be filled in to import your products into Facebook. However, it can be advantageous to enrich the product data with additional information. It is recommended to at least define the Google product category.

Except for Google Product Category Global, all fields must be based on corresponding custom fields to output values in the data feed.

Please insert the technical name of the custom field into the respective fields.

The technical names can be viewed and copied at any time by selecting the respective group under Settings > System > Custom Fields.

In the example shown above, the technical name for Custom Label #0 would be facebook_custom_label_0.

Google product category global (Optional)

To categorize the products correctly on Facebook, this optional field can be used. If, for example, the selected category exclusively contains shoes, Apparel & Accessories > Shoes should be entered in this field.

If this field is filled, this information will be used for all products to be exported. For product catalogs with a mixed product assortment, leave this field empty so that it is not used in the feed.

A list to determine the suitable Google Product Category for you can be found here: https://www.google.com/basepages/producttype/taxonomy-with-ids.en-GB.txt

Google product category (Product Custom Field)

In this field, a custom field can be specified that contains the Google product category at the article level. This can be useful when a mixed product assortment is present. The technical name of the custom field must be provided, which can be found under Settings > System > Custom Fields.

If this field is filled, the Global Google Product Category option will be ignored.

Use article sku as Item Group Id

IIf this option is selected, variant articles are grouped using the article number of the main product.

The option Item Group Id is ignored when this option is active.

Item Group Id

This allows you to logically group article variants. Variants are a group of similar articles that only differ in product details such as size, color, etc.

EXAMPLE A T-shirt is available in nine variants: in three sizes (Small, Medium, and Large) and three colors Red, Blue, and Green. In this case, submit each variant as a separate product, specifying the same value for item_group_id for each product to indicate that they are variants.
